I’ll bet that the “experts” would try & give an answer for THAT!….

The answer is: There is no square root! — It is a PRIME number!

They may say that TENNESSEE is the First CFP team OUT.

But there’s a lot of football to be played, yet - & my math says we’re one of the First Teams IN!!!

I've long been a proponent of a Volnation Lite website.........a land for misfit toys if you will......where questionable thread starting members are banished for various periods of time based on number of offenses. i.e. 1st offense 1 week, 2nd 1 month, etc. Properly vetted and agreed upon by a committee (NOT from the B1G), mind you.

I'd pay for that subscription. Or, maybe Freak could come up with a bundle and I could save some money on regular VN.

You do realize that teams don’t make the playoffs based on math and are literally selected by the experts you are dismissing, correct?

The experts that said TCU wouldn’t be penalized for going undefeated if they lost in their conference championship game, then penalized UGA (I am a UT fan) last year in the same scenario.

Not me. I'd love nothing more than to see Cignetti get a 52-0 beat down.

And not because of UT, but to make the point about that joke conference the national media and "committee" insist on equating with the SEC.

Most people are expecting ( and many hoping) Indiana to get a beat down because OSU is just to good. Not me. I would like to see 3 or 4 Big Ten schools in the playoffs (including Indiana) and then see them all get blown away in their 1st game, preferably by SEC teams. Let’s put an end to that clown conference. Our best vs their “best”.

Last year was a very unique scenario with 3 undefeated teams and 3 1 loss teams. This year, we will have one undefeated team at most and a lot more spots.
