Texas is a vast territory loaded with hs talent. It is not necessary to recruit heavy out of state for any of the major programs to be successful. Maybe a few to fill some gaps. The right staff will bring them back to a respectable level soon. JJ didn't accomplish at SMU what he did at Hawaii IMO. Think he just burned out and wanted out all together. Whatever his future plans he effectively ended his HC career at this point.
