i read where the oblabla regime had the passports changed from mother father to parent 1 and parent 2.

the marxist are doing everything they can to destroy the traditional family.

what are you talking about? i read the article.

i can handle it, but it still stinks seeing the country that you love going down the tube.

if this was even an issue it's about #1,873,234 on the list of what needs to be fixed. Not all kids have parents that are called "mother" and "father". Stupid to think this even matters

it's the fact that the gov does everything it can to erase the traditional family and it's meaning. I agree that the divorce rate doesn't help, but that doesn't mean that America should just abandon it's core principle nor should the government actively work to destroy them. I know people like you laugh at them and that's fine.

good grief, how are they destroying the family for asking for their parent's name? How does this make it less important?

I'm sure someone told you this was outrageous and you agreed but it's not the issue you are trying to make it. Traditional marriage has done a good enough job destroying itself without help from the gov't

The ease of getting a divorce (or the lack of seriousness that heterosexuals have anymore with the institution of marriage) is destroying families and this country from the inside out more than anything Obama or any other terrorist could do.

Slightly disagree with this point. The gov't has in many instances replaced the man as a woman's spouse (see the black community). Not to mention divorce laws that are heavily slanted towards the women.

But the men haven't done a great job of illustrating that we are taking the institution anymore seriously, anyways.

divorce laws wouldn't really make a difference if people cared about making the correct choice in a partner.

and this thing by joevol has nothing to do with tearing down the family. I find it hard to believe people really think one hetero parent is better than 2 parents of the same sex

I agree with that... it goes to my point about people not taking it serious anymore anyways. But the system enables people (or in our times, women) to take advantage of the system.
