Lively comments at the bottom of that article. Funny thing is article after article i read the comments are much the same, yet Obama still holds somewhere in the low 40% favorable rating poll. Wonder where all his followers are at? They sure don't read most of what he says. It would be funny if the Dems ran someone against him and got the nomination. He'd be politically ruined. I think his job performance warrants it at this point.

LG,
You also believe there is no bias by the media. Sigh on every time Bush made a mistake and the mainstream media broke their ankles running to the presses to make fun of him.

I made the post to point out the irony that your president was elected on a catch phrase and it proved to be hollow. His best response is to defer responsibility to Bush, again.

If that clip is not used in an ad right before election time, I would be shocked.

That's because Bush has multiple DVDs full of public gaffes that made his political mistakes all the worse. The guy just couldn't speak in front of a lot of people, and that's why the media was so hard on him. Just get over it man trying to hate this president for calling the country a democracy won't change anything.

Compared to Bush? Let's get real here, I'm not saying Obama is perfect but Bush sure makes him look close when it comes to public goofs.

the man is clueless.

it's ironic that he followed W in presidential succession.

watching democrats defend obama is as bad as watching republicans defend bush.

proof positive, that a republican and a democrat are equally capable of winning the presidency despite having their head located directly up their ass.

GW was a fine public speaker. The leftist, New York media didn't like his west Texas style and viewed/portrayed him as a dumb redneck.

Liberals love the word "hate". You are incorrect, the media was so hard on Bush because he was Republican.

Please reference the multiple DVDs of Bush public gaffes as I'm not aware of them. There are multiple gaffes by your president as well. My favorite was when he addressed the Corpsman in the audience and pronounced it Corpseman....nice.

My point about his calling our nation a democracy is that he truly believes it is when it isn't. He's made that mistake multiple times.

This country is a democracy. No matter how you try to twist it around its still a democracy. Not even Republicans would disagree with that lol.

And enough of the pity party for Bush its history. I'm not defending Obama either because I haven't be happy with him either but facts are facts and Bush had more goof ups than Obama. Speaking "Mexican", enjoying over 100 years of peace with Japan, etc etc.

I'm sure the guy just got nervous and made the mistakes, just like you or me would if we were the ruler of the best nation on the planet.

you know the sad part. i recently asked in a thread what good does it do to vote.

now, opening this thread, i thought about the last 3 elections.

2008-obama-mccain
2004-bush-kerry
2000-bush-gore

is this really the best we can do? is this the best that our country has to offer?

and as it stands now.....

2012-obama-romney?

and voting is supposed to matter

"And to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

Don't make inane arguments when you are poorly educated.
Please reference this article if you truly want to understand the difference between the two.

Obama WANTS a democracy and unfortunately was able to exercise the power that a democracy gives by forcing the Healthcare legislation. Just one more example of the worst president in the history of the republic.

Oops, altidore, I quoted the Pledge of Allegiance in my last post. Just an FYI.

Dude you are insane. That's all there is too it. This is 2011, not 1811.

One of the funnier things Obama has said recently is
while listing adversity his administration has had to face,
(ie; excuses for a failing administration), he cited
"headwinds from Europe."

WTF, all I hear coming from Europe is a gigantic
sucking sound.

Consider my thread about the GOA accounting of
the fed emergency funding, of the $16 trillion moved
about, 65% went to European banks to prop up
their socialist governments.

The rest went to big American banks to prop up the
stock market and even that failed as well, today the
market dropped 4% and has dropped 8% in the past
ten days.

If you're going to use the Pledge as proof of original intent, then the Pledge itself should be quoted in original form... which was also written by a Socialist.

And exactly what does the pledge of allegiance have to do with the year 1811?

I think he's trying to make a point that this is now the technological age, not the victorian age. Which it still doesn't matter.

Let's also remember that Democrat and Republican Parties had the opposite philosophies back then.

I agree the years makes no difference, and yes the philosophies of both parties changed over the years and now we have two parties that are ideologically opposed in rhetoric and virtually the same when actions are taken into account.

If every historical document was still applicable today, we wouldn't of had to amend the Constitution so many times. This guy is out of touch with today's society I suppose.
