And they (the reporters) usually don't get called out after the 90% of things they get wrong. Good call.

I think Charles is actually very smart he just doesn't have a filter on his mouth. Sure he is wrong sometimes but I'd rather listen to Chuck talk basketball than most of the other analysts. At least he isn't afraid to speak his mind.

A life coach he is not!

I'm hoping one day Barkley and Gus Johnson will call a game together. If it was a junior pro game I would listen for the entertainment value.

He certainly knows more than me about the game. I am not the one who made the idiotic comment. I would also say Charles' general intelligence level is above that of most the posters in this forum

I've never met Charles, and I've never met a single poster in this forum, so I can't comment on that.

What's idiotic is claiming that because Charles is in the HOF for basketball ability, he is then above questioning. Saying someone is too awesome to be questioned by peons is a dark-ages mentality that I can't stomach, much less agree to.

I'm more of the American school, that all authority is fair game for being questioned. Even by lowly idiots like myself.

(with all that said, Charles is being too generous with the 10% comment, and I wouldn't put him in the basketball-idiot category if I had to guess)

of all the times i've heard barkley talk ball, i can't say that he doesn't know what he's talking about. usually his comments are pg13 and not made for small children

It took a while for me to like Chucky. Especially as a Mavs fan. He constantly takes shots at the Mavs, but when I took my blue glasses off, I realized he is right. Chucky just comes from the Dick Vitale, Lee Corso mold of shock to sell ads. If you keep track of Barkley's picks, he is probably more accurate than anyone else and when you get through the schtick, he talks pure basketball. I think the TNT Overtime show with Kenny the Jet, he and EJ is about the best sports show on TV come NBA playoff time. I don't even know how Barkley and EJ can stand each other off the set, but on the set they have a good chemistry.

I suspect that most fans were smart enough to switch to Monday Night Raw after watching the first half of that train wreck pretending to be a championship game. They played like Vince McMahon had paid them.

At least Stone Cold and the Rock can make you laugh. All Butler v. UConn did was make you groan.:bad:
