Charlie Weis leaving Florida

I am so freaking happy about this. Have hated the fat turd since he was at ND. The night that he accused Matt Trannon of slapping him during a sideline scuffle in the ND -v- Mich St game was the night that I lost any respect for him that I might have had. Lying piece of crap. Video confirmed MT was no where near Jabba on the sideline and infact, NDs Grad asst actually roughed trannon up during the scuffle.

Glad that lying enormous sack of lard is off my sideline.

How does he go behind Muschamp's back to do this... that just isn't classy:

according to a tweet from CBS Sports.com’s Brett McMurphy, Will Muschamp, Weis’ boss, “didn’t know Weis interviewed at Kansas [and was] on [his] way to [a] Gator Bowl press conference when news broke [that] Weis [was] hired.”

Definitely a surprise. But.. they were awful this year anyways. Changing some schemes might hurt a little bit but not thattt much.

In the end, I think the Gators benefit from this. But not immediately.

Weis is a good OC - not a good HC.

He is good on the recruiting trail, but is lazy. His name and background carry a lot of weight - so does he :)

WM will hire a good OC and all will be right in the Gator's world. He just needs to hire a guy who can work with the athletes and system they have in place.

Lot of good OC's out there putting up a ton of points: Boise St. TCU, Houston, Texas A&M, Ok St., etc.

Could you imagine CMUSCUMP eyes when Charlie told him...

Muschamp did not even know that Weis had interviewed for the KU job and only found out on his way to a Gator Bowl Press Conference, when the radio news broke the story.:loco:

How long til Phil gives up? He's been unemployed from coaching for 3 years. Its not like he got a show clause. Just shows nobody wants him. Don't get me wrong, I was a big Phil supporter til he let Randy stay on as OC for so long.

I'd be happy too. You are right about him and I was hoping he would stay at FL until that whole staff was canned. Now Muschamp can go out and get a good OC and it will likely save his job down there. Crap, freaking KS. Weiss is terrible and he should thank the golden dome every day for making him rich. Brady is doing better without him as will the Gators.

Don't give em any ideas.

Randy Sander has a hot new offense rolling in KY. I nominate him as the front runner to replace.

ask a Gator fan and they will tell you Muschump was going to fire him anyways.

I know quite a few Gator fans who think he was the only highlight of the year for them.

Some not so happy about what just happened.

Goes to show that all fan bases can be irrational and divided

You just never know though. Boise's old OC underwhelmed at Texas, TCU's OC just took a HC job at Memphis I think, and we don't know if A&M or Okie State's offense could work in the SEC. Weis was a homerun hire, arguably the best in college football. He just needed more personnel.

Yea I was concerned about Weiss in another year or so once he got his QB and some other parts up and running. I'm sure UF will get a top OC but it should set them back a bit and open the window for us.

May have something to do with this.
