Not gonna have the same time against Georgia. Milton needs to be told to get rid of it or run immediately.
And this is why we can't hit the deep ball like last year. It takes 3-4 seconds for oline to allow the QB time and the receivers time to get down field. HUGE difference from last years oline and receivers vs this years and this is why it's not completely JMs fault!

What makes you say that? UGA is 11th in the SEC in sacks(16 vs. Vols 29).
They're 12th in the nation in run D and 15th in pass D. They get up for big games. Milton holds the ball and will take a sack sometimes.
Goergia also wasn't very good in the SEC with sacks last year until that game either.
Just saying his clock needs to be going off quickly because it's going to be an even better defense (complete) than Bama or A&M.
My hope is that Milton continues to ball out so the run game has a chance.

His TD was the difference. We hit the bomb, UK didn’t.
A lot went into the dub. What a beautiful ball by Milton! AND he may have gotten his first completion on the run to Keyton only to follow that up with another one to Thornton. Also beautiful pass/catches. We are getting better.

You may be right, but the stats don't back you up. Do you think UGA's pass rush is markedly better than aTm or Bama? I don't think so. Their total D may be better than both, but pass rush--I don't think so.

not related to Nimrod but didn't want to start another thread

Has Leacock gotten any targets this year?

What stats?
I'm talking about overall. I never said the pass rush was so much better. Maybe you were talking it and I am not realizing it.
A&M played dumb and Bama's D isn't as good, especially the pass.
Georgia is going to show up and Kirby has Heupels #. I really worry about the offense but maybe playing at home and Sampson coming into his own will help Joe.
The WRs showing up is a big deal too. I think they'll be fine but as tough a time as Tenn has had putting it in the endzone even this past week against Kentucky I can see Milton taking 5 sacks that week.
None of our analysis matters until after we see how they handle Missouri.

Stats: aTm 33 sacks
Alabama 29 sacks
UGA 16 sacks (two less than Vandy)

There is no statistical evidence at this point to fear UGA's pass rush.

Agree on WR's. They have to run better routes and go after jump balls.

Oline is beat up and struggling to give JM 3-4 seconds for the deep balls. This is the difference in those opportunities.

This is true...and I am proud of the way Joe played yesterday. He had a good game. That said, he has overthrown a WR running wide open for a TD at least once in nearly every game this season. Some games twice. We got really spoiled last season when Hooker put up 38TDS with 3INT in only 10.5 games. Hendon had the best season ever by a UT passer, and too many folks here have come to expect the same from Joe. In truth, Joe has statistically had a good season and should have everyones support. Hooker set the bar insanely high last season....for those expecting that every season: you're gonna be disappointed. I do think that Nico and those who come after will put up big numbers and lots of points in CJHs offense though. GO VOLS
