I know it's being discussed in the portal thread, but thought the news deserved its own thread.

I had allowed myself to get my hopes up slightly after the delay in him signing. Oh well. All things considered this is probably the best case scenario for us. He stays out of the SEC and we can put this to bed. I guess it is probably the right choice for himself as well. He will face little competition in the ACC outside of a handful of programs.

Good luck. If you don’t want to be a Vol, then you’re not a Vol.

This past season, we don’t get where we got without him, I don’t think. Bumps in the road, yips, whatever one wants to call it, he’s a Vol, just made a big decision and he gets to play it out. He’ll be fine, we’ll be too.

GBO!!!

UT may have the ability to block transfers within the conference, is it possible we did that?

Hopefully Chase will grow and mature at WF. He’s clearly a great arm talent. To be successful in the MLB…he’ll need to have a little thicker skin. He definitely help us in the 2nd half…really hurt us in the first half though. Developing that third and fourth pitch will be CRUCIAL to his development though. Glad the soap opera is over. TV did what was best for the team and should solidify his place among UT coaches moving forward. TEAM FIRST…ALWAYS!!!
