let me clarify, the one rex was talking about is the Eric Gordon from Hillsboro. The one committed to Arkansas is David Gordon out of Oklahoma.

Sucks that Davenport committed to LSU today, leaves us really scrambling for DT's

We're still in on Bonds, Gaines, Sentimore, and a couple of other highly rated DT's. Plus we have Cory Hall coming in this class as well.

If Marlon Brown is the only other reciever we get out of this class I would be completely satisfied, well not completely but I would be very happy.:)

We've already got Stokes and Rogers is basically a done deal, although he might end up on the other side of the ball.

I would say that unless it is a stipulation in his recruitment, he won't even see practice time at WR...not that he isn't good on offense, but that he sounds like he is that much better at DB.

Jelani Jenkins is a beast I just watched a video on Rivals about him. I think we should go after him hard. He looks like he coluld improve our LB Corps a lot.
Rivals.com Video

Jenkins and his father will be in South Bend this weekend for their first unofficial visit to Notre Dame. If the visit goes well, that can only enhance Notre Dame's chances of getting the nation's No. 2 linebacker prospect and No. 10 player overall. Jenkins took a trip to the West Coast to see USC, UCLA and Stanford early in the summer and also has visited Maryland, Virginia, Penn State, West Virginia and Virginia Tech. It is rumored that Notre Dame and Penn State have the best shot at Jenkins. As with Te'o, we will know much more when things get narrowed down. With Jenkins, we should know more after this weekend.

Tennessee is not even mentioned.

IMO, this kid is a pipe dream.

Way too early to tell with Jenkins, ChiTown. With most prospects, I could give you a top 3, but Jenkins is a month or two away from even mentioning a top 5.

Hawkins has emerged as the best cornerback in Maryland and has set three official visits. He has been hard to reach since rumors of an imminent commitment to Maryland began making the rounds in late July. Those rumors were false, but the Terps are in the mix. Hawkins has narrowed his list to Penn State, Georgia, Tennessee, Oregon, Michigan and West Virginia in addition to Maryland. He has set official visits with the Vols (Sept. 19) Bulldogs (Sept. 26) and the Nittany Lions (Oct. 17). He also would like to visit Oregon when the Ducks play host to UCLA on Oct. 10.

looks like we may have a small shot. if we can get them on campus we have a shot.

Are some fans' wet dreams. It really worked for us last year, didn't it? All we heard was how we had some 4 and 5 star silent commitments, and none came through. All that happened at the end was that we lost a safety to Michigan and Kelly chose baseball.

Chavis is getting killed by Steele recruiting D-linemen. They already have 3 commits who could play DT (if you count Ming), plus they are hot and heavy after Bonds.

Ming is 265 lbs. He might end up there but as of right now couldn't play DT in the SEC at that weight and be productive...unless it was only on passing situations.
