It's hard to say some of his 3 pointers aren't ultra impressive with the quick, catch and shoot. That drive to the basket, with the ultra quick, left hand stuff is at least as impressive

That drive to the basket with authority was my favorite play of the game.

And his defesne late was superb. Clutch free throws, too.
He's a huge chunk in terms of this team's chances of winning come March.

If that was thru 24 games...he made 10 3s and 61 pts in the last 3 games.

So thru 27 games:
Points scored:
Chaz Lanier: 485

3 point shots made:
Chaz Lanier: 94

I don't know the comparisons for knecht & lofton

Edit: thru 27 games, Knecht had 544 pts

I'm afraid Lanier is going to be a good out of conference player but now that we've hit conference play hes gonna see a lot better defenses.

Pretty consistent trend we're seeing with Lanier. He's good against lesser competion/weaker defensive teams. Not so much against decent defending teams.

Yea, quit worrying, he’s gonna blast Lofton’s record barring injury, and he won’t catch Knecht in scoring.

Come on now. He's definitely had some good to great games in conference play, but let's not act like he's been this super consistent scorer in leauge play either because he has not. He was less than stellar in games against UK, AU, Mizzou, UF, and maybe one more. He has played much better as of late. I hope he closes out these last few games on a tear, and really goes off in the tournament.

Of course you understand too, that we've been playing the very best teams in college basketball in conference play. He will be first team All-SEC. There are a number of great teams with great players. Marathon season. He came up big when the other two best players missed an entire game against a top 4 team, and led us in scoring.

He’s scored double digit points in all but one game in conference, and that game we won by a lot. He’s scored 15+ points in 8 of 14 conference games. He was a 4 year mid major player, who is averaging 18 points in what some have called the greatest conference ever. He hasn’t changed who he is. He single-handedly won games against UF at home and at A&M. He gets targeted as the one player to stop on our team and still puts up numbers. I don’t know what some of you guys expect. Pretty damn consistent.
