Extremely good. They pretty much have a 10 win season with the defense having to overcompensate for an inept/unproductive QB/offense for all 13 games they played this year.
It was more a stupid decision to make. It doesn’t look like (at least to me) the QB was trying to knock the ball down (or catch it, either of which he should have done). It looks like he’s trying to knock it forward in the hope that someone on his team would catch it and turn a tipped pass/blown play into gained extra yardages…almost like when an offensive player tries to pick up a fumble and run with it during a busted play rather than just falling on top of the ball.
