In the Swish Appeal article, Harper referred to the Lady Vols as having chemistry issues. During preseason, I heard that this team was immature, but the way Harper explains like its some issues between teammates and maybe cliques within the team. Its like this season has went from bad to worse. We look terrible on the court and now there's a possibility of major locker room issues. Wow! Its like the program is declining slowly, but surely. If things aren't good in the locker room and practice, there is no way Tennessee will be successful on the court. The Lady Vols will only have 10 on the roster next season. If someone transfers out, we are in major trouble. Makes me think its a circus behind the scenes. What has happened to this program? Thoughts?

have you ever worked in an office where more than 2 women where working together?

Let me tell you, there is always trouble brewing there!
listening to my Wife come home and relate things from her work days would curl my hair, if'n I still had any.

The difference maker is having a boss that stays on top of the problems that crop up. Do we have that in Holly? time will tell.

They play like there are some chemistry issues.Resentment about Deshields and Cooper maybe .....I have no clue .If that is the case maybe this team can be turned around with some firm handed discipline .....just not sure that Holly can do that .

And their bench demeanor suggest a fairly tight team. I am amazed at how so many are taking a report based on unnamed sources at face value. "Unnamed sources" reporting on perceived "chemistry issues" is not journalism; its rumor mongering.

LMAO - At first I thought maybe we had the same wife. The only difference is that in my wife's office, the boss stays on top of the HR person - literally. I get a daily update whether I want it or not.

We, LVOLS that is have two main problems. (IMO) 1. No true point guard that can control the floor and the flow of the game. 2. Too much talent. Holly needs to pick the starters that give the best chance for success and work with them to jell as a unit then 6-9 as primary backups and the rest as role players. It is the only way this team can find an identity.

Unfortunately, Tennessee loses to Stanford and OSU, the articles will get worse because of Tennessee's once storied program. I read an article which stated that Holly has plans to recruit JC players to make up for her goose egg for 2016. That will be great if she can fine two top JC post. There will be competition from other programs that have better programs. The more negative articles the harder it will be for Holly to recruit.

She does not carry herself well in interviews, commentators are saying negative things about the program. The problem is, top recruits at any level, hear about negative news surrounding a program. If they fail to hear or read about programs where issues exist, other recruiters are more than happy to let them know. Holly is in a potential fire storm that has sparks already. This program is at a dangerous crossroad that requires a mind set change by the current coaching staff otherwise, a change in leadership is in order, to save this program that Pat built from complete demise. Presently, it is on oxygen.

I think there could be chemistry issues but it doesn't make them negative issues. You have players who love the tradition and want to see the program return to where it once stood (Graves, Cooper, Diamond, MeMe, Russell who I would love to see as a starting lineup) and then you have players who are just happy to play ball/out there (Reynolds, Jones, Nia, Middleton, Dunbar, Carter) can't decide on Nared quite yet but I will put her with more of the first group based on what I've seen of her. Compound that with players who Bball IQ's may be a little higher than their coach (Diamond, Cooper, MeMe to name a few) it makes it harder for the team to mess. Holly refuses to start/play Cooper and Diamond together (even though we all know they are really good friends) which I think hurts us because if allowed to play their game, Cooper is by far the best PG on the roster. Holly has to let them play and stop trying to force them into an offense that she has yet to install. We have players who can get out and go yet we are forcing them to slow it down and feed it into the Post and it is hurting us. Our guards are probably quicker than most of the guards in the NCAA yet we are halting their ability by making them wait until Graves or Russell to get in position to pass them the ball.

I'm only a casual lady Vol fan, so please don't take this post as me professing to be an expert or anything. But Graves and Russell have to embrace being a big. They have to want contact inside and fight for rebounds better. I know Graves has several blocks and can step out to 15-20 and knock it down. But the need is coming from not having a consistent inside presence, and with their size and athleticism that should NOT be the case. jmo

I think we got huge guard issues and a big post that doesn't have enough experience playing in the big time. Were getting over fifty percent shooting from the post players except they don't get the ball much in a lot of games basically because the guards can't hit open shots.

I think time has already told and the answer is an emphatic NO

Yes chemistry issues..... and chemistry can mean different things..... but i agree in general with the appraisal.... there is little flow in our game for whatever reason especially on offense..... and Holly hasn't been able to figure it out in past years.... and I do not expect her to figure it out this year either..... She has had the reins 4 full years, including the year she was head coach de facto for Pat in 11-12.... now this is her 5th year.... and 30 years as assistant.... it is not enough to cite injuries.... we have enough talent on paper to beat anyone..... and now people are seeing Stanford and OSU as automatic losses.... there is no belief.... Stanford for their part, didn't look so great against Texas, yet they are expected to beat us? It is not enough - for the people who love Holly - to cite her winning record.... I think if Mickey Mouse coached here, or at ND, or at South Carolina.... you would see a winning record also..... hopefully the chemistry issue will rectify itself..... and translate into wins.... and more importantly, significant wins

At this point in the season I just want everyone to get the ball to Bashaara as she's the only one playing her heart out for this team!

So, in the interests of learning more about what is actually going on, these protential future lady vols and/or their parents Google "lady vols forums" and a link sends them to this site where they can quench their thirst for knowledge. That is really going to help recruiting but then as sophisticated as recruiting has become, some posters here already know that.

Just to clarify, I don't consider you one of them. Just felt I needed to get that out there.
