CHIEFS vs EAGLES Official SUPER BOWL LIX Gameday Thread

I liked the halftime show but I love Kendrick and we had an awesome sound setup.

Has anybody ever liked the halftime show when it's an artist they don't care about?
I thought it was a fine show, not my genre of music but the production was well-done and the choreography was cool. He put on a good show.
Only half-time show I can recall absolutely hating was Coldplay.

The majority of fans that are putting serious money into the NFL tickets and memorabilia are 30 to 50 year old white dudes. They are trying to grow their demographic but the fact is the tickets are not cheap at all anymore. I think a lot more ticket holders would know Chicago than they would Lamar.

If you want to see Chicago, go to a local casino when they are in town...

Kelce has got some splaining to do when he gets home. Momma Tay Tay don't tolerate losers.
Was nice not to see her in the second half.

The absolute crushing that they took along with the possible ruining of the halftime “marriage” proposal (if there was any truth to that, but with those two, I tend to think it’s possible) makes this a great win in so many ways.

White dudes in their 30s know Kendrick Lamar far, far better than Chicago, my friend. Source: I’m a white dude in his 30s. I couldn’t name you a Chicago song right now.

I'll try to listen to some of his music. I do listen to a good variety of music. Various genres of metal are my core, but I also listen to a lot of bluegrass and blues.
If you like jazz at all, make To Pimp a Butterfly the first Kendrick album you listen to. Otherwise listen to Damn. Last two albums are hit or miss for me.

You know what would be a cool halftime show? Wheel out an orchestra and choir and do the 9th Symphony 4th movement, "Ode to Joy."

Hell any classical would be great.
Orchestral music might not be as far beyond the realm of possibility as you might think. It would likely have to be a popular film composer, then you’d have to have a big name pop act to go along with them. Beyonce featuring special guest Hans Zimmer or something like that.

You're not missing much.

Signed, a white dude in his 30's who knows Kendrick and Chicago.

I like classical music, but condensing an orchestral performance to 15 minutes is a disservice and would therefore be a bad halftime show.
