We have mutual defense treaties with so many countries that we would get drawn in for sure. It sucks having to police the whole globe to keep USSR and now China from running roughshod over all the weaker nations in their area. Too expensive for us.

I don't want to get into a back and forth about it but I don't think anything we do bothers China very much. They plan ahead and stay on course. If a hundred million are out of work it doesn't matter to them. Like the tariffs. Their position was fine, your people will just pay more when they go to the store. If you don't buy as much we'll cut production or offer to sell it elsewhere. Also they haven't stopped fortifying the islands they built in the SCS against all of our and our friends protests.

Abuse of human rights and raping the planet doesn’t bother them either. F*** the CCP. Stop trading with them. Don’t play nice with our trading partners and defense allies that do. Stop protecting their trade routes. Let them collapse on their own.
