CCP is buying influence andnow it seems rather blackmailFlood? Saw something about it. More money…

@Orangeburst
Sounds like a party…
I can’t imagine us sending 5 Super Carriers to the Pacific. I’m thinking 3 big boys and a couple America Class with a full complement of F-35B’s.
That’s still a crowded field though, and a hell of a lot of firepower….
We want back as much as they want us back. And they had good reason to want us gone when they did.a lot of articles..seems like pay or else.
I think we were paying The Philippines hundreds of millions year for leases, and they still kicked us out. Only because of Spratleys they want us back…I get it..it is realpolitik, but dang, sometimes allies are not worth it.
The answer to both questions is NO. Long term supplying both weaponry to Israel (pre-Hamas War) and weaponry to Ukraine, we're nearly out of ammo and money. No again because we've been stupid enough to let China gain access to our institutions such as MIT, Poly Tech etc. to literally steal blueprints to our drone tech, advanced aviation tech, missile tech etc. They are very techno advanced now, so could match us punch for punch, since we've given them the bullet and the gun to shoot us with. Sure, we would still win, but would the price be worth it? You can go hog wild with this if you want.2 questions. Can we man 5 carriers at once and does the F-35 have the range to keep the carriers out of range of Chinese land based missiles?
1. Yes, we could. But that would be almost all of our manned Super Carriers in one spot. We usually only deploy about 6 at any one time.2 questions. Can we man 5 carriers at once and does the F-35 have the range to keep the carriers out of range of Chinese land based missiles?

2. Yes, it does… With the added range afforded it by the (@Orangeburst wait for it)…. MQ-25
I think 3 Super Carriers + 2 Lightning Carriers is the more likely configuration. Though the F-35B’s off the America decks would not have the same range (probably deployed in an air superiority / security & sensing type mission).

we gonna be thin as they start cutting LA class boats..it was alreay dipping below 50. Hopefully they can life stretch depends on nuke core I suppose. But we can’t build Virginia attack subs… Really need 2+ per year coming off the lines.
Navy Will Ask for 1 Virginia-Class Sub in FY 25 Shipbuilding Budget, Increase Amphib Production - USNI News
THE PENTAGON – The Navy’s Fiscal Year 2025 budget will ask Congress to fund one Virginia-class attack boat, a break from a steady two-per-year demand signal from the service and a sign that industry is still catching up to the current demand, three sources familiar with the proposed budget...news.usni.org
U.S. intelligence knew almost to the minute that Russia was going to invade Ukraine. You would think the U.S. would act before this happened.
If China attacked mainland USA with an EMP then we would have nothing to worry about.
Because the volley of ICBMs which are entirely unaffected by that EMP would land 1000 or so nuclear warheads on China proper and we are all toast at that point. Nuclear winter it is. No way in Hell we tolerate a strike on the lower 48 by a near peer adversary without opening those ancient silos. Which is why they will never do that.
Coincidentally we are currently in the process of upgrading those ICBMs as we speak. The WW2 era Minuteman types are being replaced by Sentinels. They are far deadlier even than their predecessors. Nobody wants to see these coming...which is the beauty of the deterrent via mutually assured destruction. In truth, most of the important targets will already be gone by the time the ICBMs get there. Our nuclear subs armed with the Trident nuclear missiles are always much closer to China and therefore would be first to strike. Shorter flight time when the subs lurk beneath the waves hundreds of miles away instead of thousands. The Tridents are really the tip of the spear (pun intended) when it comes to our nuclear strike abilities.
Heres some info about those new Sentinels we are installing up north:

Eh, they work when we fire emWe share Tridents with the Brits..not very reassuring..
