Chinese spy balloon hovering over Montana

When was Biden told of it?

By your logic he should have shot it down when it was being manufactured.

If he wasn’t told about it before it crossed into Alaska proper I would expect a lot of senior military officers to be fired this week. Let’s see what happens, what’s your prediction?

Sure it does….Biden had ample time to shoot down the thing before it got anywhere near any populated area. If you read the news stories, the Administration chose to keep the event quiet in fear that it might derail Blinken‘s trip to China. Their plan was honestly to hope no one noticed. They were more concerned about not causing ripples with Beijing than they were about the security of our military installations. They never would have told us if some guy in Montana hadn’t seen it and posted the first video. Seriously, read the reports. January 28!!!!!
Only answer. Got caught and had to dance.

Ever been to Alaska, or Idaho, or Montana? Those are very sparsely populated states. It could have been shot down there with an extremely minute chance of it getting anywhere near a living person.
After the fact Joe stepping in once again after the fact.

There’s an even bigger problem if this wasn’t in his briefing days before it hit US airspace. Are you suggesting that Biden is not being briefed on potential threats to national security?

Yes, LG is suggesting the Commander in Chief is not being briefed on threats to national security. Which means we have a helluva lot more issues than a balloon.

If it was shot down over land and killed someone, the usual suspects would still be here saying "impeach him immediately, why not wait until it's over the ocean? Totally incompetent administration"

From where I sit, no citizens were ever in danger, the balloon was identified and researched and deemed not a threat before we even knew it existed. I'm sure the folks at the Pentagon have a hell of a lot more information available to them than our resident Fox News lovers. It was the right call.

There were multiple times during it's flight that there would of been nobody around and 100% safe to shoot down. Without question really.

Well I guess since this map derived from the 2010 census says no one lives in that specific area then there would have been nobody around and 100% safe to shoot down

Was it 100% safe to shoot down over the coast today? That is a big commercial fishing area not to mention recreational and hobby boaters.

I honestly never thought I would see the anti-war hippy party of the Vietnam era telling me to „trust the Pentagon“. My but the world has turned upside down hasn’t it? 😬

He should have been told shortly after NORAD began tracking it somewhere over the Pacific. NORAD should have been tracking it even before it entered U.S. airspace. It seems some, specifically those on the left, are choosing to ignore how our air defense works. We've had this system for ages. FFS, it doesn't take a tactical genius to understand how this works.

Is this a trick question?

LG up to his tricks again.
