in every post-game or half time interview he acts like a complete jerk with the media.

He's doing something right with his team and they are well on their way to the championship but he could show just a little class on the way.

anyone else notice this?

he was totally different when Blount was punching people and his team was a supreme disappointment. true colors.

The only week I liked Chip was during the lead-up to USC/Oregon. I think it might have had something to do with the other coach being a bigger tool...

Leach 2.0. I love watching the Ducks but he isn't rewriting the way we play football.

The guy kept asking moronic questions, Kelly kept treating him like a moron. That's how things should work.

This pretty much mirrors my outlook as well. Standard, repetive, and moronic questions from the media should be met with that type of attitude. I really do not have a problem with it, other than the Gillispie/Edwards incident a few years ago. That was a bit much.

I was on Billy Clyde's side of that incident. A TV outlet giving you a microphone and a sideline pass doesn't give you immunity from being treated like an idiot if you ask questions that indicate that's what you are.

Yeah, I can understand his side of the argument as well. Even as she asked the question, I echoed his words in my mind.

However, as much as I detest sports media and their agenda's/questions, I do think there are times where it pays to take the high road and give a sugar coated answer. There were several answers that ole' Clyde could have given that would have caused much less grief. I always applaud a coach for standing his ground, but in that instance it just didn't seem warranted.

There's some backstory to Billy Clyde and Janine Edwards. Let's just say that probably had something to do with his treatment of her.

Witness Lloyd Carr with Jack Arute at halftime of OSU/Michigan in 2003, Bill Snyder after the Big 12 title game in 1998, and Jim Gray with Pete Rose in 1999.

He's being a college version of Bill Belicheck.

Exactly.

"What adjustments are you going to make?"

"I'm going to go into the locker room and talk to the guys about that."

*Cue National uproar at CK being a douchebag*

Um... Ok....

:whistling:

I have very little use for them if they can't provide any insightful information. Or in the case of interviews, ask intelligent questions. CCK doesn't bother me at all.

I always love this post-game interview: "So, tell us about the game."

A couple years back, one of the Blue Jackets' defensemen (Fedor Tyutin) was being interviewed after a game. The reporter says something like, "Fedor, the defense struggled during the first few games, but certainly seems to have improved as a unit recently." This was followed by a pause of about five seconds, then Tyutin looked at the reporter with a confused look and said, "Yes, I agree."

Not unless they're incredibly sensitive.

No doubt this is your life's mantra for being such a jerk to people. Myself, I was raised to not be a dick to others. A coach can check their ego for 10 seconds and act professional. It's not that difficult.
