Chip Kelly leaves Ohio State to go back to the NFL

Absolutely the most underrated (on here, at least) part of the OSU juggernaut. Offensive genius. With those tools? Unstoppable.

Hands down the best team all season. If they don't have to go to Eugene early, they never would have been out of the top 4.

Major setback for their program, but this was always an all in type of shot for them. Paid off.

Going to be tough for the Buckeyes to reload next year losing him and Knowles. Two of the best coordinators in college football last year.
Plus they lose a lot of older guys who could’ve gone pro last year, but stuck around to win a title. They’re still really talented, but I think they’ll have a drop off next season. Maybe not as bad as Michigan this past season though.

Dude hated to recruit before NIL so you can only imagine now.
He supposedly wasn't involved in recruiting at all at Ohio St. Still, he probably doesn't want to have to deal with the roster turnover year to year. An NFL roster is going to have much more stability.

Even though he's spent much more time in college than the NFL, the NFL is a much better place for him. He's 100% schemer/playcaller.

Won't be near as bad as Michigan. So much of football is QB driven. Michigan had no heir apparent when JJ McCarthy went pro. Ohio State will have Julien Sayin and Tavien St. Claire battle it out in the spring, either of who are infinitely better than what Michigan trotted out there each week.
Still amazes me they beat Ohio State this year.

They’re well positioned to be a CFP team again. They get Texas in Columbus in week 1. Texas is the overwhelming #1 team in these Way too early top 25 polls. If they beat Texas week 1 they’ll be ahead of schedule. Obviously it helps that the game is in Columbus, but Texas has a lot of good players returning .
