I'm not sure. They obviously wouldn't be as good as they are. The same applies for Oregon in reference to LaMichael James.

Well, just look at Jeremiah Johnson. Let's be honest, the guy probably is just a slightly above-average back in any other system in the country. Kelly's system helped him become a guy who ran for around 1,200 yards and over 7 YPC in 2008. That speaks to Chip's ability as a coach.

If Chizik/Malzahn had, say, Darron Thomas playing quarterback, I don't think they would be in this position. Just my opinion.

We aren't talking about 2008, we're talking about 2010.

And perhaps you're right. I merely find it unfair to say Chizik's rode Cams coattails to the NC as if Kelly doesn't have his own dynamic Heisman candidate.

Chiz - definitely surpassed expectations more than CK did.
