Choose Your Rival

1. Ohio State
2. Texas (We are the UT)
I really don't know after this. I'm not saying our rivals because I would be content with winning previously in the year, and I would hate to see us have a rematch title.

I prefer fried potatoes. um huhh. Which I order in my best slingblade voice.
One of the things I do miss in South Florida. Not many places where I can get some soup beans, fried potatoes, and cornbread for lunch.

do you call them freedom fries too?

You bet. The only thing the French are good at is manufacturing white flags, perfume and stinky over priced cheese.

The French, don't get me started. I heard the reason they outlawed golf is because it was to brutal of a game.

"Blatantly cheated against?"
yeah, hatvol, this is clearly off the mark, but I will say that I am a little ticked by the argument I've heard a number of times from Gator fans (including mostly level-headed lawgator) that it was poor officiating that kept the Vols in the game to the end...this is clearly an attempt to avoid conceding that poor officiating hurt both teams for sure. I will even go as far as to suggest that if you take back the bogus roughing call that erased the INT return, Vols win. That said, I will painfully remind myself once again that we didn't win - simple as that - but that what's happened since the UF game has made that pill just a tad bit easier to swallow.

1. Notre Dame
2. USC
3. Ohio State

Since we can knock off pretty much any SEC team during the season. I would definatley concur on the above teams except in the following order

1. Notre Dame
2. Ohio State
3. USC

officials don't play the game, the players do. despite the bad calls that may or may not have gone our way, UT still had plenty of opportunities to win the game.

the fact that we are two points away from being a top 5 team is what is bitter about that game. and perhaps, if WE can convert the 3rd down and get James in the game to kick, we would be #2.

the game wasn't won or lost on officiating.

although it may've sounded like it, I was not suggesting that it was. Your point, made many times previously, is well-taken, and I sufferingly agree.

This reminds me, we should start some sort of petitions for a Texas-Tennessee home and away. Right now, unfortunately, Texas is the real UT, as they have won 2 out of the 3 times the teams have played all-time.

hey here is a thought
say uf goes unbeaten and we win out and some special things happen in the top 5 and at bowl time its uf #1 UT #2 for the NC how cool would that be wont happen but it would still be cool

No Milo. You're getting in over your head. Let me sort this out for you, so take out your Big Chief Notebook and your #2 pencil. You see my fine young Oregon friend, UT was a college long before Texas was even a state. Texas was still part of Mexico and waiting for Tennessee Volunteers to come save their rear ends. There for UT is and always has been University of Tennessee. Texas even tried to steel our color but they even screwed that up.

Without the blood and courage of Tennesseans, there would be no Texas. Period.

That has long been my argument as well. Given what Texas contributes to our society, and the depths of their self importance I often wonder if it was the right move.

Then you'll enjoy this little factoid I like to toss around when talking smack about Texas. They lost their first ever football game to a high school team.

We got bullied around against Nebraska, I want some payback!
If Air Force had their way with us, I dread what the Osborne Huskers would do.
