do you call them freedom fries too?
yeah, hatvol, this is clearly off the mark, but I will say that I am a little ticked by the argument I've heard a number of times from Gator fans (including mostly level-headed lawgator) that it was poor officiating that kept the Vols in the game to the end...this is clearly an attempt to avoid conceding that poor officiating hurt both teams for sure. I will even go as far as to suggest that if you take back the bogus roughing call that erased the INT return, Vols win. That said, I will painfully remind myself once again that we didn't win - simple as that - but that what's happened since the UF game has made that pill just a tad bit easier to swallow."Blatantly cheated against?"

although it may've sounded like it, I was not suggesting that it was. Your point, made many times previously, is well-taken, and I sufferingly agree.officials don't play the game, the players do. despite the bad calls that may or may not have gone our way, UT still had plenty of opportunities to win the game.
the fact that we are two points away from being a top 5 team is what is bitter about that game. and perhaps, if WE can convert the 3rd down and get James in the game to kick, we would be #2.
the game wasn't won or lost on officiating.
This reminds me, we should start some sort of petitions for a Texas-Tennessee home and away. Right now, unfortunately, Texas is the real UT, as they have won 2 out of the 3 times the teams have played all-time.
Then you'll enjoy this little factoid I like to toss around when talking smack about Texas. They lost their first ever football game to a high school team.No Milo. You're getting in over your head. Let me sort this out for you, so take out your Big Chief Notebook and your #2 pencil. You see my fine young Oregon friend, UT was a college long before Texas was even a state. Texas was still part of Mexico and waiting for Tennessee Volunteers to come save their rear ends. There for UT is and always has been University of Tennessee. Texas even tried to steel our color but they even screwed that up.
If Air Force had their way with us, I dread what the Osborne Huskers would do.We got bullied around against Nebraska, I want some payback!
