Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us... police took pictures of Rihanna's injuries and they are "horrific."

As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face -- there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

And we now know this... Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that's what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. We're told the photos alone are "devastating proof of abuse."

And we've learned it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called.

I like Chris Brown...love to hear him sing!! Just can't imagine that he would do something like this.

no matter if its wrong or right he did put her in her place. this def isn't her first time to fight males.

Yes, it does matter. Leaving bruises on a female = horrific. He didn't put her "in her place". WTF does that even mean?

She didn't "fight" him. Are you really this dense?

no def. not, if you think that everything i say on a msg board is serious then u are mistaken my friend. trust me i do not believe hitting a female for any reason is legit.

Not condoning any of it by any means, but I'd be willing to bet he was well provoked. I hope that gets as much publicity as his hitting her "elegedly". While there is never an excuse for physical abuse, sometimes the events that lead up to these events are disregarded as unimportant details. I'd wait for the "whole" story, and remember, this is Hollywood we are talking about.

Get off your high horse first of all and dont ever tell me what I did or didnt read. Why dont you double check what I said. I wanted the "why", and "how" of this story to determine the cause of it's escalation. I'm in no way denying her obvious damages due to apparent physical abuse.

So, if your "google" is better than my "google", I'd be happy to hear "why" this happened, and "what" was said to cause such an act on his part.
