Rex is absolutely right. We have had problems developing talent lately but not on the defensive side, specifically LB. IMO, Donald is playing the game and may end up at ND if we have another horirble year, but I still believe he is a Vol. Imagine a LB corps of Donald, McCoy, Mayo, Davis, Williams(if he ever gets in and stays at LB), AMW, etc.

Jason Allen, Shaun Ellis, Darwin Walker,Eddie Moore, Albert Haynesworth, John Henderson, Gibril Wilson, Demetrin Veal, Rashad Baker, Eric Westmoreland, Deon Grant, Will Overstreet, etc. I don't think he has to worry about Chavis' development.

Williams is likely headed for DE "when" he gets in. The lights-out LB corp would be OLB McCoy, MLB Donald, OLB Mayo. With amazing reserves in Dorain Davis and Andre Mathis. Two stud Safties behind those LB's would be S Morley, S Smith.

I don't keep up with recruiting like you guys, but isn't Donald from Huntingdon? Tim Priest is from Huntingdon. I used to work in West Tennessee and Carroll County. W. Tenn. is solid UT country (except for Memphis). More so than Middle Tenn. IMO.

Rest easy if the Vols want Chris Donald we will get him.:eek:k:

I hope it's that simple. It seems he was impressed with his ND visit but I think he will still be a vol.

As for it being "UT country", Harrison Smith is from right here in Knoxville and he seems to be considering Notre Dame also. Throw in that Golden Tate has made it clear that he is waiting on an offfer from ND, and Tennessee is starting to sound like ND country.

The good news is that it's all just speculation at this point. Let's hope we get Smith and Donald.

You forgot John Finlayson. He was a Bama fan growing up, but after visiting a camp at UT, he changed his mind.
