Does a school facing the very real possibility of significant NCAA sanctions really need to be bringing in a guy who has now publicly admitted he can't get good enough grades at Oak Ridge to be eligible and is headed to a "Get Your High School Diploma In 30 Short Days" outfit to beef up his marks?

Is he a cold blooded scorer?

A potential team cancer(Jones), a headcase(Hopson), a rapper(Woolridge), an iconic name(Summit), and it's being covered by the greatest writer ever(Griff). Sounds like a painful to watch documentary.

A potential team cancer because he has some grade issues? This is an idiotic statement. Do you know Jones personally or have heard he causes problems in the locker room? If not Shut the hell up with these dumb *ss statements, if you have then give sources.

Did you read Jones' comments in the article from the local paper?

After I posted. Obviously taking a kid from a diploma factory wouldn't be the best idea with everything else going on. Not that it matters what I think, if this staff can get Ramar Smith eligible then this should be a walk in the park for them.

Sorry, been busy the last few weeks. It appears it's partially academic related but more character related. I'm thinking JUCO might be in his best interest at this point. Remember, he came from playing in an inner city school in the hood to a prep school in the mountains. Huge culture shock. He's a good kid though. Never been in any real trouble and has a passion for the game. I think he's simple having trouble adjusting to the culture change and might go the JUCO route especially with Pearls job status in question.

how stupid!!!!!! a free education awaits him at a really good school and this spoiled child can't even go to class to take advantage of it. i don't feel sorry for him or any other person who has to chance and does not capitalize on it. boo hoo, go to class young man improve your stock in life.

Uh, you realize there is a reason he is going to a "military prep school", right. He is no academian and would probably not have qualified otherwise.

Heard today that Jones will not play basketball at Evelyn Mack Academy. Instead, he will focus on academics.

Better grades and no injuries. Good news. Now when he gets to Knoxville, the priorities have to change...

I believe this guy will prove to be Pearl's best recruit so far if he can get on track academically.
