Any reference to any game prior to the arrival of Urban Meyer does not count.

Cool, so all the Spurrier games don't count either?

Lets take that name "Rick Clausen."  There are 11 letters in his name.  There are 11 letters in "Throw in dirt."  Coincidence?  I think not.

The name "Erik Ainge" rhymes with "Ain't got no aim."  Again, the mysteries of the universe are right there for you to see if you just open your eyes.

Sheesz!

You are going to have to come up with something better than word games and nursery rhymes.

nursery rhymes ...that's about Chrissy's speed

This little gator went to spring practice
This little gator played UT at home
This little gator wanted touchdowns
But this little gator had none

This little gator cried about his big brother not starting, having to learn a whole new offense and losing again to UT all the way home

Just trying to keep you on your toes.  If it was just UT homers on here, it would get boring before too long.  And while I do poke fun, it is all in good fun.

Make no mistake about it:  I hope UF trounces you.  But I do respect your team and your school.

That's all cool. It's all fun.

And since the UAB game, I've seen a few UT homers on here. I've seen a UF homer. Speeking in %s, UF is losing the homer battle.

:D :D :D

If we were winning it here, that would not be good for UT.

I dont know an exact number, but there were def. a good portion. He still had a lot of plays down field, but a good portion came from the shuffle. Its tough to complete 17 straight against a high school team, let alone a D-1A top 25 (at the time) team.

I don't think Wyoming was ever a serious top 25 team... It seems like most voters put 'em on there because they got through 22 or so votes and just went "Ah hell... Uh [random team] could be okay."

Leak got hit plenty last week.

I have a feeling both Ainge and Clausen will have many, many opportunities to prove your thought on this subject.

This is funny....A gator talking smack on a Vol board...Which by the way is the team that is looking to make it 3 straight in the Swamp and 3 straight in the series.....And he also wants to talk smack about how good his QB is..HAHAHA....Chris Leak is the most overrated player in college football...He can't take a hit, he can't make a play under pressure, his delivery SUCKS, and on top of that the boy plays for the gators....You say you have a feeling that Ainge/Clausen will get an opportunity to prove what Milo was saying this weekend? Yeah, you guys won't sack either of the QB's more than twice...Riggs will have a field day against you all...He's a gamer....I hope you like to eat crow

Leak will have a good view of the stars in the sky next Saturday.

I like that kind of mentality. Leak will be stomped on.

The first time I remember seeing the shuffle pass was when we were playing Bama (don't remember what yr it was) and I remember saying "What kind of Pansy-*ss pass was that?" I still don't like the shuffle pass.

You might not like it but in Meyer's scheme it is very effective. It acts like a screen when there is a blitz and can result in big yardage when the offense has successfully spread the defense too thin at the line of scrimmage.

It doesn't always look like much, but neither does a hand off and it is basically a long hand off.

I know but I still don't like it , for my part it should not even be a legal play , but that's just my opinion.

My favorite part of the shuffle pass is when the back gets drilled by a linebacker right as the ball gets to him, sending the pigskin ricocheting off his helmet, high into the air, and into the hands of a rumbling, bumbling, stumbling defensive lineman, who trots (used loosely) all the way into the end zone.

well tee martin for tennessee had 23 in a row for the volunteers in 1998 and he was good but not the most talented guy in the world. it can be done, especilaly agaisnt wyoming. it is hard but especially with screens it can be done.

I don't remember there being any shuffle passes in that record. That still is an SEC record isn't it?
