By the way, I think he played an excellent game, but game over ;moving on.

Sad. The kid played as great a game as any QB in recent memory under that kind of pressure and you continue to mock him.

Sad.
Uh, better performances in the BCS title game since its inception:

1. Vince Young-2006.
2. Matt Leinart-2005.
3. Chris Weinke-2000.
4. Michael Vick-2000.

That's with me giving him an advantage over Leinart last year, Dorsey on 2001, and Tee Martin in 1999, none of which are slam dunks.

He's still afriad to take a hit, one play in the late 1st half he rolled left and it was wide open spaces and Chrissy threw it away instead of tucking it and running (would have been an easy 1st down but they ended up punting it away), and every option play he ran the defense could have keyed on the pitch man because Chrissy was gonna pitch it .

Actually watched the interview. He did make mention when he played against Tennessee and his brother, although he stated his brother didn't play.Said he had not been on a date since his freshman year because of his dedication to winning a N/C.WOW!

I agree that Leak did not wing it downfield (like Leinart) or run it (like Vick or Young). But in terms of making good decisions and avoiding mistakes, and taking what was there, I think it is hard to argue with Leak's poise.

And out of principle I refuse to respond to a comparison of anyone to Weinke. Total fraud.

I have to gt on the Leak bandwagon. He may not have put up tremendous numbers yardage or TD wise, but he did things that they dont record in the books. Like throw the ball away at the right times, run at the right times, and he managed the game to perfection IMO. He deserves his props.

Yep. In that game, with OSU having run the kick off back for a score, the most important thing was not turning the ball over for Florida. Remember when Smith fumbled running from the Gator onslaught and we picked it up and scored? That was the momentum fixer right there and Leak never once risked that kind of swing in the game. That is just as important as anything else a QB can do.
