Because of his name, certainly not his coaching experience, he was hired to be head coach of Edgewater High School in Orlando. It's a program with a pretty proud history, although the past 5-7 years have not been very good.
I saw his team play earlier this season and they got beat 78-0. Yes, it was against one of the better teams in Florida, but his team was as poorly coached a team as I've ever seen and I've seen 12-15 high school games every year for more than 40 years. His offense had five WR and the OL had massive splits and he didn't have the talent to run that type of offense. His offense gave up two defensive TD to the other team in the first three minutes of the game.
I almost felt bad for him, but he is a Gator, so I didn't.
This sexual assault investigation is, of course, serious business, but it's also very sad as he has a wife and kids.
