No. I am just saying that the year 1 A.D. was not the beginning of time and the point at which the world began as dickens stated and you appeared to agree with. You obviously know better.
Actually, there is no year zero in the calendar. It goes from 1 BC to 1 AD.
Now, astronomers use year zero just to keep the math easy or at least that is what one told me.
While centuries and millennia start on the ones, I can find support for decades starting on both the zeroes and the ones. The problem is the long-standing reference to something like the 60s the 70s as opposed to the calendar reference of 1961 to 1970.
