Chris Petersen = Best head coach in college football

Saban is the best. Peterson is very, very good. His teams execute and he gets the most out of his talent. Add to that, they have good schemes that minimize the size difference they encounter when playing BCS teams. If I was a BCS AD I'd take a chance on him.

The argument that they had more time to prepare is BS. Oregon, Va Tech and Georgia had as much time and hadn't started their conference play yet. In each of the games, Boise was ready and executed their game plan better than the opposing team did. That's coaching.

Wait, so 10 wins and the best season in 35 years at Michigan State isn't success? Petersen would dominate the NFL now? Someone's reaching...

With a program that had NCAA sanctions.

I'm sorry, but Steve Spurrier? No, just no.

He won six SEC titles in the 90's, and then took USCe to their first meaningful game...in...ever. Is he a little past his prime? Yes. But he's right up there.
