Some of you need to cut back on the drugs.

Facts: Williams has said LSU is hugely in front for his services.

More facts: Williams has said his top 5 are LSU, OU, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Missouri.

He was asked if any other schools come close to LSU, and he said

"Not like LSU, but I'll listen to some. USC, maybe, if they were to offer, Ohio State ... basically any school where I would have a chance to win a national championship but also get a chance to play."

No mention of Texas.

Those quotes came on 5/9.

Now, he sent his test scores to Texas in EARLY APRIL and he said this about that in the article at Rivals on 4/13.

"They receive my sat scores last week and they were high enough for an offer," Williams said. "They know that they can count on me. I haven't talked with them since they got the scores last Monday. "

So, in the course of a month after receiving his scores, he hasn't received an offer.

LSU is the huge leader here.

Did they not want Lennon Creer? Better yet, what about Adrian Peterson?

Just the thought of AP and Vince Young in the same backfield would make the college football world explode.

That's why AP went to Oklahoma. The football Gods would not let such a unstoppable force happen.

Chris Williams in Texas Ranger parlance is a wanted man. " I have over 20 written offers from schools such as OU, Rice, Texas Tech, Baylor, Texas AM, TCU, LSU, and I think Oregon to name a few. I want to get out of the area to go to school though," Chris was quick to say.

When DSA asked Chris what his top five schools were, Williams filled in the blanks. "My top five are LSU, Oregon, Nebraska, Missouri, and Tennessee. I will go to the place that feels right," Williams said.

I had 90 tackles, 67 of them that were solo. I also had over 30 tackles for loss. I was able to get about 10 sacks," Williams told us.

By the way, he is the Texas 5A Defensive POY. The speculation seems to be that Texas will def not offer, that LSU probably will not, and if LSU doesnt, it's a neck and neck race between the Ducks and the Vols.

So, are his grades/scores really OK? Why in the world would Texas and LSU not offer this kid - he looks like a great catch. Surely they don't have their eyes on that much better talent that they won't even offer....or...maybe....doesn't seem right to me, though.

It's all over the news down here. I live in Abilene and have seen him play. He's pretty quick to the ball and should thrive under Pelini. The last game I went to and saw him he made about 3 jaw dropping hits but was also run over a couple times by a RB. He did save that game with 2 goal line tackles on 3rd and 4th down.

I work with a couple of guys that know Chris and his family. From what I'm hearing, he's not exactly a lock to Nebraska. Other schools that he's still considering are Texas Tech, LSU, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Most people around here think he'll end up a Sooner or Red Raider. Bo swept him off his feet so he committed at the time.

I know we're not gonna get this guy but I thought since there was a thread on him I'd mention what was going on.
