Trivia: DiCaprio was set to play Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, but opted out because of how controversial it was. One of the catalysts for this was activist Gloria Steinem, who would soon become Bale's stepmom.

Even tho I think DiCaprio is the better actor, I'm glad Bale got the role. DiCaprio would've ruined the movie for me, and I think the part was perfect for Bale.

Bale is good but Dicaprio wins the bout hands down.

Outside of The Departed, I've never been impressed with DiCrapio. Bale is the superior actor, especially due to his role in The Fighter.

gangs of new york and the aviator are by far my favorite dicaprio movies and def top 10 on my all time fav list

Yeah if I had to make a list I would say Gangs of New York is probably my second favorite movie of all time (the first being Cinderella Man)

I usually stay out of these threads but, I'd like to know who impresses you? DiCaprio is an excellent actor. He played a damn good drug addict in The Basketball Diaries. Also, early in his career the dude played a full on retarded kid in Gilbert Grape and nailed it. That's hard to pull off. He can play any role IMO, even a retard lol.

I can't wait to see him as a southern racist slave owner......

No kidding. Whenever I think of Howard Hughs it's Dicaprio's performance that comes to mind. If you've ever watched the special features on the DVD there is a part where Leo talks about studying extreme cases of OCD. He nailed it.
