I bet the Angels play the delayed promotion game to save a year from future free agency. I know new rules discourage this by taking away a draft pick but they could save millions on second contract if they do.

When I look back on CMO’s last season with the Vols, I’m just amazed. He was the best player in college baseball IMHO. When he yelled “let’s fight” to UT’s dugout after getting 2 strikes on him in the CWS, It showed his leadership and determination. That young man grew into a leader!

Having Ron Washington as your coach when your biggest flaw is infield defense and drafted to an organization known for aggressively promoting college bats.

You're right, really wasn't a better spot for him to be drafted to just from a personal development point.
