what did you expect them to do against a psycho wielding a gun?

Honestly?

Charge him with the chairs they were sitting in...... throw chairs... throw bookbags.. any thing to make his body react and then rush him..........

Just because some one has a gun does not make you powerless.

:eek:k:

I don't know if it just a sign of the times or a cultural matter, but the kids at VT did not fight back either.

I'm not really sure what they could have done. Didn't the shooter have a couple of semi-automatic handguns? It also looked like he was in a fairly wide open area, so anyone trying to approach him would have to be pretty dang fast to get to him before he fired. Add to that the fact that handguns are banned on the campus, so none of the kids were armed.

I don't see what's wrong with a strategy of fleeing until the folks with guns get there.

Absolutely insane.

Canada has one of the world's lowest crime rates, too!

It like something from a horror movie.

The classrooms were cramped with chairs and the kids were cramped in like cattle.

The presentation I went to conducted by the Virginia State Police also discussed why the kids did not find back.

I know in some schools and at VT, kids are provided with tennis balls to carry in their back packs.

Throwing the tennis ball would serve as a distraction and then you rush the person with a chair.
