ok cincinnati went 9-3 this year. is butch's replacement that good, did he leave the talent for him, or is his win totals a result of poor league that cincinnati plays in and the opponents they play

You do know his replacement is Tommy Tubberville?

on a side note, I really like Cincinnatis AD. He has made 3 great hires in football, and it seem that the basketball program is good most of the time.

I think a better question is which team's talent was more on par with the teams on their schedule this year? Tennessee or Cincinnati?

He left some good talent - it is a weak conference - pretty good replacement coach - so I am going to say some of each.

There's talent there. Tuberville is a halfway decent coach. And the conference is garbage.

Basically a combination of all three

Definitely on the decline. I think golf and BBQ may have become a little too important to him.

Appears he built the program correctly and left Tuberville with plenty to work with considering Cincy was coming off back to back 10 win seasons.

Tubby was left with Butch recruited talent...conditioned under Lawson and taught under the subpar coaches that are bemoaned by many squawking posters on here :scare:..
Other than that...all Tommy

"Butch's replacement" his name is Tubby. Also, look at Les Miles.

Tuberville is good coach. Coached aubrurn when they had Kenny Irons. Mightve been there for Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown also but not sure.
