bUTch left them alot of talent to work with and that talent had a good attitude and work ethic.

Former SEC coach that got a bit lazy but knows football.

Talent pretty equal for that conferance.

Their record sounds about right considering.

ok cincinnati went 9-3 this year. is butch's replacement that good, did he leave the talent for him, or is his win totals a result of poor league that cincinnati plays in and the opponents they play

You do know, Tuberville is their coach don't you? I believe he is not bad.

So, we got a coach from a garbage conference. We're movin' on up.

You can't just look at the conference. Look at Urban Meyer he started out in a weak conference. It's more the coach than the conference. You could be a terrible coach in a weak conference and only win 2 games

NO! Tn's superior athletes beat Cinci, regardless of Dooley or anything he MAY have contributed to that game. The only thing Dooley cared about was watching the guys shower.

I think it's the players Butch left. It sure not Tubbs. :eek:lol:

Yeah they only hired a guy who has an undefeated season and SEC championship under his belt. Not to mention Cinci is in a garbage league so it's not very hard to win there.

IMO another example of the vast amount of football knowledge many on here possess. His avatar shows Cincy Reds #1 and he does not know Tuberville?:Think he knows Joe Morgan and the Big Red Machine history? hi:

Cracks me up that the OP got all excited thinking he had a great topic with no clue that they hired a coach like Tubberville. Smh.

Cinci went 9-3 (reg season) '11 and '12 and shared the league championship with 3 others in '12 and 2 others in '11. So the league really isn't anything to write home about. One of the better mid-majors I would say though.

J. Hunter and D. Rogers, Z. Rogers, and M. Rivera with a game Bray......shame it was only for that one game but hard to defend those weapons.

He'll be gone if some bigger school ever comes knocking.
Nothing he'd like better than to come back to SEC country.
GO VOLS!

Happened to get on a plane next to Tubbs when he was doing his ESPN job between gigs. He loved Auburn, but he said the alumuni were calling the recruiting shots there, and I got the feeling he was relieved to be gone. The insinuation of impropriety was certainly there, but it sort of opened my eyes to how the game works. Alumni telling a coach who to recruit screams that someone had a vested interest or active investment. Cam Newton anyone?
