The Mountain West should replace the Big East in the BCS.

They should. I wonder why they don't kick out someone like Wyoming and replace them with Boise State.

Boise State
BYU
TCU
Utah

That's a legit conference. As legit as the Big East or Big 10.

Why isn't Dion Lewis in the Heisman talk...kid is only a freshman and has an unreal skill set

I would also throw in Fresno State...that conference would also give the wac-10 a run for there money

The Heisman now is tied to being in the Nat Champ hunt (why I don't know). Lewis has had a better year than Ingram but Ingram is a contender and Lewis isn't even close.

Dion Lewis looks a heck of a lot better than Bryce. :(

Lewis is awesome

Where's the defense in this game?

Desmond Howard had Gerhart ahead of Mccoy though :p

I have to be honest though. I haven't really seen any of Gerhart. Sounds like I'm missing out from what I've heard.

His stats are off the hook:

1736 yards, 26 TDs, 5.6 ypc, 145 ypg

Compare to Ingram

1429, 12 TDs, 6.5 ypc, 119 ypg

And Lewis

1446, 13 TDs, 5.8 ypc, 131 ypg (Doesn't count today's game)

Gerhardt's TD numbers are stout.

Gerhart is a good back

Sounds like it. Speaking of runningbacks... is Mark Ingram a Sophomore or redshirt Soph? I hope he is a Sophomore because as good as he is, I think Richardson is better from what I've seen this season. Fortunately Ingram gets most of the carries. As much I hate to say it, the thought of Richardson getting the majority of the carries makes me poop my pants.

That's a lot of touchdowns for a runningback. Looks like a trio of studs right there. I suppose you almost have to say Ingram is the best though for doing it against SEC defenses and sharing with a runningback as good as Richardson. Ingram looked horrible last week though. That's SEC defense for ya.

I don't buy the Ingram is better because of the SEC. The SEC likely has better O-lines too. He's got better support so I think it's a wash.

I would add that Dixon of Miss St. has better stats than Ingram too. If the SEC gets the nod then Dixon ought to be ahead of Ingram.

Ingram is a great back - just not deserving of being a top 3 in the Heisman guy this year.

Alabama does anyways but it just seems like the SEC has the best defenses in the country by far. The only teams I've seen come close are Texas and Oklahoma(minus their game against Tech). USC might hade made the list if they didn't give of up 47 to Oregon and 55 to Stanford. One is one thing but two, that's atrocious. Even Tennessee only allowed one team to score more than 28 against them and they are a middle of the pack SEC team.
