Leslie's decision to stay and play in his hometown of Raleigh is an interesting story. Highly touted coming out of nearby Word of God Academy (which explains why the above photo looks eerily familiar), Leslie verbally committed to NC State as a junior, but was entertained by the Kentuckys and UConns of the world as the Wolfpack swam in a sea of irrelevancy going combined 71-62 over the past four seasons.

The thought of a big-time recruit spurning John Calipari makes me very intrigued by this kid.

The aforementioned trio of incoming freshman apparently are going to be entertaining to watch and difficult to guard. While he's described as an elite athlete who can get to the rim but also has a nice touch around the perimeter for a 6'8" forward, all that tangible stuff Leslie possesses is dwarfed by the simple belief there's some attention being given to the 3rd most visible basketball program in The Triangle. While Lowe's ass will certainly feel warm all season, I'm sure he's excited about this opportunity to compete again.

Sidney Lowe is an imbecile. CJ Leslie isn't good enough to save him. Hell, I'm not sure Dwight Howard would be good enough.

Why are they all saying if we get Jones pretty sure I saw on Scout he committed to Washington.

Jones will stay on the west coast, in my opinion. If he heads east, it will likely be to Lawrence. I think UK is probably going to start looking at some second tier guys to fill out their squad, guys like Marcus Thornton.

Nevertheless, it's always nice to see the Kitties come up short on a recruit. Talking to them, they think they will get every recruit they want. They must have 37 scholarships or something the way their fans talk.

Here's the true Calipari's recruiting siren song. He's got to convince Jones the best decision for him is not to join two of his best friends a couple hours away from home at a program that won 26 games last year including the Pac 10 tournament championship and literally brings back everybody except their best player who happened to play his same position. I'm not saying Jones would be foolish to go to UK but I can't think of any argument that would hold water for him pick UK over Washington unless the kid from Portland is so much more impressed that LeBron would be in attendance at his games instead of Brandon Roy.

He said Jones and Terrence Jones is a similar size to Leslie. Therefore my assumption of Terrence Jones.

I never said that. I simply quoted that most recruiting experts said that. Go find an actual post and quote it instead of making crap up. I don't make idiotic predictions without a base to stand on.

Thats what Maggard does.

They think every 5 star wakes up wanting to play for Ky.NOT...If Calimari wasnt their they wouldnt of had the class they had this past year but those kitty cats will never own up to that.

But Cal is there....and they did pull an amazing class. This is absolutely nothing but sour grapes and an idiotic rationalization made by a Vol. WHAT IS THERE TO OWN UP TO?!

Kentucky missed on Leslie, but they will probably get Terrence Jones. Marcus Thornton is a strong possibility too. Next year's UK team will lose more games, but they will should have 3 top 10 talents in Knight, Kanter, and T. Jones. Should be a definite top 10 team.

Wow...they're talking about Darius Miller being their starting 4. Tobias would eat him alive if that's the case.

What's to own up to.....Cal had that class plus Xavier Henry coming to Memphis. It is pretty evident that UK had little to do with it (other than hiring Cal). It is irrelevant at this point though.
