CJH Gotta Make Change!

If CH don't make changes, 2025 offense will be worse. I don't think players are buying into Hazlie / Pope anymore... Golesh was the one who directed Hooker and Milton, to be in the right time at the right place. Can't remember the wide receiver coach, but he was good. And moved on.. Along with success comes departure of coaches.. Don't blame any of them for trying to better themselves. Something has to change tho,,, or I have a feeling it aint gonna get no better.

Why will it be worse?

These are getting ridiculous. Make the playoffs with 10 wins while beating Bama Florida and Oklahoma and it's not good enough. You guys realize that Sampson, Thornton, and White were all missing correct? That's the 3 top producing players on offense. Let's not forget Pili, which is the underneath guy on defense. Complain complain complain.

Heupel, real football fans see that you took a doormat team to a top 10 team in 4 years. We support you.
I am behind Heupel, but don’t confuse the “new” college football with the past.
A team can now rebuild their roster must faster with the instant transfer. They can basically have upper classmen at every position. ’Ole Miss’
To your point of the 3 injured players. He should have the depth to handle that. He has had 4 years of building this team. WR /QB coaching held the team back. The backup RB averaged 7.7 ypc.

yeeeeeeeeees, I agree with all off that. First, I became a fan in 2001. I want to see it, i don't want to relive the glory days on youtube.. I want to watch it

Yes it was a super great year. 10 wins in any league is huge!!! But we had a 4 game streak where we couldn't score in the first half (with all our starters!) And the loss to Arkansas with so much on the line? what?

What if Heupel doesn't make a change. Are we going to see the same offense we have seen for the past two years?

Sampson was "player of the year" in the SEC.. That is crazy good., right? That is so impressive for the entire offense, including Heupel and the OC

I guess I'm just being an ass, asking rhetorical, "what-if" questions. im very proud of this team, but there was a lot of meat left on the bone this

When people see something wrong, they should be allowed to speak their mind on a message board without being bullied.
I'm frustrated just like the original poster. Our offense got worse over the course of the season against good teams. I personally believe the defense threw in the towel because they had no confidence in the offense. We'll all be posting the exact same things next year, unfortunately

We will be worse next year. Look at it objectively. Despite the fact that everyone was talking about Nico playing his best ball at the end of the season, he hasn't improved from the beginning of the season. He embarrassed some no name teams, muddled through a win at OU, then started laying eggs. Sure we won some tough games but that wasn't done by him putting the team on his back and carrying them to victory. That was the D and Sampson who did that. Look at our RB production when Sampson wasn't running the ball. We have no major offensive weapons. Our Defense is losing it's best players. Our Secondary improved but hasn't really been fixed from the prior years of getting torched. We aren't going to go to 7-5. But we aren't going 10-2 and getting in the playoffs next year.

This is the root of the problem with the FF. Imo. Some legitimate issues and complaints get blown off as whining because you see the same complaints and issues in so many threads and many times by the same posters.

I don't have a solution.

I was wondering when someone was going to post these oh-so-original thoughts!

We're gonna need a minimum post count for posters to start a thread. Like we have in the PF.

Have another drink and think about it some more. This team lost for numerous reasons. They made the CFP. The team exceeded expectations and yet you want change. Your thinking is of the process that keeps us in a mediocre environment. Sad fandom go to Alabama's forums, Ole Miss's or USCe and give them a pep talk as well. Go to LSU's as well. At least they have a validated coach's problem. Everything you have stated applies there more so than here especially with HC.

Evenly he does not

Agree

Some of you are just looking for a reason to fire a coach.

I remember begging for a 6th win just a few years ago, so Tennessee could go to a bowl game. I became a Vol fan in 2001, and steady watched the team deteriorate....or worse, show signs of life under coach "put your name here", then slowly sink back into oblivion.

I don't have the real life experiences most of you have. I have to watch the 85 Sugar bowl and the 98 championship game on YouTube.

So, are we happy with Mark Richt? 10 wins. loose in the first round of the playoffs. Middle of bowl season, no Vols....for the next 20 years. Last year pretty much the same as this year. I know Heupel has to see what I am seeing. Major two year flat line.
Since you’re somewhat new to winning, maybe enjoy it. As you said, you were begging for a 6th win just a few years ago.

Well, I'm not new to winning. My pro team is the Steelers and they have been pretty good over the last 30 years and are only 1 of 2 NFL teams to have 6 Super Bowl wins.

A 10 win season in SEC football is amazing. Hell of a lot better than 5-7.
But it still feels like a few years ago. There's no steady, consistent improvement. Nothing I saw this year made me think we could consistently win games against decent competition.
I think CJH has some serious changes to make or Ill be back to sacrificing chickens to the gods of football just to get a 6-6 season.

Part of me is starting to worry that Hooker was CJHs Dobbs. We looked horrible under Milton with Golesh before Hooker took over.

If CJH scheme only works for a QB who can get the ball out extremely fast and read the defense just as fast we may be in trouble. Nico clearly can’t.
