This recruiting has been the busiest than I can remember. I don’t think we can keep up with it here recently. The way the coaches have been all over the country, geeze, I can’t even keep with that daily.

Actually, Urban Meyer was the one who started this all's fair in love and recruiting.

Nah. He only got attention for taking the standard operating procedure of ruthless SEC recruiting to the Big10 and shocking those guys up there. They wanted to play by some type of gentlemen’s agreement up there and he said “screw that” by going after other teams’ committed players. Urban was by no means the one who started that recruiting mindset, it preceded him by decades in the South.

Not really. There is a clear difference between the players Pruitt and his staff are targeting and what Butch did.

If Pruitt has a top 15 class and CBJ had top 15 classes they both sign talented players. May be be at different positions and for a different style but don't act like Pruitt is better because you hear names you haven't heard before. Jones was pretty good at recruiting, just didn't know how to coach. Glad he is gone. Think Pruitt and staff have to be better, but not going to act like Pruitt is a super recruiter yet. He has been at 3 schools that constantly sign top 10 classes. I don't think Pruitt was the reason FSU, Ga, and Ala were getting these classes.

Well he has convinced players committed and leaning to other football powers to at least visit. That’s a step, now the real difficult part, getting them to decommit and come to u.t. Hopefully can succeed in a couple of high profile players. That would be a big win. We will just have to see how it plays out. Keeping top in state and especially local players to come here must be at the top of their goals.
