Wow ! the staff has done a lot better than I thought. I've been reading about guys flyin' around everywhere else. I had a case of the Chicken Little Syndrome,. but I am surprised. Welcome to all of our signees !!!
I see it as a solid class and we've addressed SOME of our needs, but I'm not seeing enough difference makers in it. Yeah, I know the saying goes that you should be looking at who you got and not who you lost, but those guys we lost out on are likely that kind of difference maker that is so abundant on the bama, uga, texas, oregon programs. Good class but not enough elite talent. It's the kind of class that will have you in the 8-10 win range. It's not the kind of class that will get you to the playoffs and it certainly won't close the gap between us and the top programs in this league. Guess it comes down to expectations and satisfaction level.

Historically, this is an 8 win program. I've learned to be content with each season for what it is, but I'm likely in the minority. The thought that we have this genius head coach and staff and that they can take a 3 star or juco kid and turn him into someone who can go toe to toe with the aforementioned programs and come out on top regularly is simply naive. I'm not downing the class or our staff, but I do live in reality. Time will tell, but I hope we're not wasting the short time we have with Nico. One more thing...there's another stud 5 star QB in the wings who will be watching UT and Nico while also watching Bama to decide where he's going to play. We'd better show some coaching, development and recruiting or McIntyre will end up somewhere else. He knows the kind of talent he'll have at bama. If UT fans are questioning the recruiting, you can bet he and his family will be, too.

Would Deion bragging about his team being 75+ % black, the same as a white coach bragging about his team being 75% white? One would be considered racist while the other is considered progressive? Both seem kinda racist to me

Ah Hah. Quite an observation.... Careful now.

At the risk of being labeled something that I am not, when one race is held to a different standard, how can equality truly be attained. We have an individual in the tricities who has said repeatedly that Blacks can not be deemed to be racist due to the lack of the systemic factors required for said racism. I look forward to a time when all of these discussions are no longer necessary.

You'll get your wish when Christ returns to end all this madness.

Racism is a state of mind. It is not defined by external factors but by internal.
