No doubt that Ainge and Shaffer are physically more talented, but RC is definitely the smartest QB we put on the field all yr, (Eric seemed to me to have the same quality that Brett Farve has a helluva Qb but sometimes tries to play beyond his talent and Brent just seemed to be a 1/2 a click behind on making reads before tucking it and running) if Eric or Brent show better on the field judgement come spring then RC should be dropped back to the backup role.

Remember, though, he was a TRUE FRESHMAN! His abilities are there, but the knowledge of the game, reading defenses, and making smart decisions will come with experience, practice, and time.

Hey, can any of us claim to have not made any dumb mistakes as a freshman in college?

Same opinion here basically. RC definitely has earned his shot come spring practice. He got a chance to prove what he can do that he would not have had w/o injuries to the others. I think the coaches benefitted from finding out they may have underectimated him. But, EA definitely has the talent and given his time to develop mentally in the game he would eventually take back over as the top man even if RC started the '05 season. But, atleast we all know we are in capable hands while waiting on EA and the others to come into their own and see who takes the role.

Based on a quote I seen from Randy Sanders, come spring drills, ALL 3 QBs will be given a look.

Its as if its 2004 all over again. But instead of ???'s at the QB position, we have the unique problem of having 3 potentially great QBs to choose from (possibily 4 if JC gets the gist of the Tennessee offense).

I say,

ITS GREAT, TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!!!

If Ainge can grasp the offense and defensive reads like RC then forget about it. Ainge will be our guy. From what I have read, Ainge is a very bright guy, so I look for him to catch on quick here in the off season.
