GAVol is going to hate me for this, but I feel compelled to start some discussion...

Do you guys suppose this season could possibly cause Jimmy Clausen to de-committ from Notre Dame and give Tennessee stronger recommendation? I know a lot of you think he is a punk and don't want him... Ainge was a punk at one time (although nowhere near as bad) and he's clearly straightened out under the tutelage of Cutcliffe. Not to mention the year he's having, vs. Brady Quinn and the Notre Dame offense, neither of which have really set the world on fire.

Milo....I am very disappointed in you.
Just a random thought... I could potentially see it happening with the way things are going.

I'm perfectly glad Jimmy "The Ego" Clausen went to Notre Dame, and that we have a kid like Crompton to take over. I wouldn't have it any other way.

BUT, this is within the realm of possibility given the things our passing game has been doing.

I bet that would take some wind out of ol' Urb's sails. My opinion? If Jimmy hasn't already caught the Big Orange virus, he never will.

he's a ND lock, won't change his mind, for him it's all about the NFL and he believes Weiss has the knowledge to get him there, of course in his eyes his brothers didnt receive the proper coaching to get them in the league. Isnt Rick a grad asst on the Vols?

we're better off saving the scholarship for a stud at a different position. i wouldn't want little jimmy. we've got ainge for another year and then crompton for the following two. we're straight at the qb position for three years, and i don't think little jimmy would want to redshirt.

I have nothing against the kid. I just don't think he will leave ND after all the hype and personal recruiting he has done. Also I would not want a kid who would leave after that.

As far as Clausens go, I thank both of them for giving their all for UT. Both Rick and Casy played their guts out for the BIG ORANGE. We can discuss where they rank as QB's of all time at UT but there is no discussion that they gave it their all every time they were on the field.

Classy. I think I'll have a steak tonight! :hi:

Without saying too much, I can guarentee you that as long as this coaching staff is here, Jimmy Clausen will NOT be playing for the Vols.

No baby Iceman, thank you.

I'd rather leave him in the hands of Weiss.

He is deserving of inheriting the great line of ND QB's, like four-time Heisman winner Ron Powlus and tackling dummy Jerrious Jackson

I think it would be great if he de-commited and we didn't offer him anything...sounds like fun to me.

I think the kid chose the school he wanted to go to and that is fine by me. I have zero hard feelings for him. Unless he plays UT I will hope the best for him. He has done nothing to deserve our angst.

I agree. You have to question your priorities if every kid that chooses another school over yours becomes a mortal enemy.
