When the D plays a 10 yard cushion, and the safety doesn't come over to help in cover 2 it's gonna make alot of offenses look good
:eek:lol:

Yeah, up until that last touchdown, Bowling Green's offense did nothing tonight, or all season for that matter.

Just so we're clear, you don't understand why people have disdain for Fulmer, the guy who ran the Vols off the tracks and took them over the cliff, but you're perfectly content to throw Clawson under the bus whenever the opportunity presents itself because he was a small part in Fulmer's final failure as a coach?

we're clear
Clawful was horrible as the OC here, the facts support it

He's still got that deer in the head lights look...

I remember the first game last year, him sitting in the box at UCLA and looking lost, he had that same look last night on the Vandals last drive

Dave Clawson's success everywhere except TN points primarily to the fact that Fulmer had lost control of the team. They were unwilling to learn and buy in to the new offense and so they hesitated again and again and again and ran plays poorly. Dave did not know if they were mentally deficient as a group or just sabotaging him. Now that Kiffin is in, it is clear that it was the latter.

I hate the "deer in the head lights" look from a coach.

I so much more prefer the "grimace, take headset off, put it under your armpit, golf clap, and pat the offensive players on the ass as the trot off the field after a turnover" look that Fulmer used to have when he was confused.

yea, they beat some real powerhouses..
Here's Bowling Green's wins and the Def rankings

Troy 100th
Kent St 53rd
Ball St 77th
Buffalo 43rd
Miami (OH) 70th
Akron 64th
Toledo 95th

I'll give 'em this, they owned the State of Ohio

But the offense wasn't a problem when playing comparably talented teams. In fact, the offense was how they won. Fulmer was the problem with the UT O and Clawson was just another scapegoat.

Yea!! Fulmers so good, he has turned down all these open coaching positions because they are beneath his greatness.

You gotta give credit to TFHCPF for bringing in a relatively unknown OC from FCS so the Fulmerites would have someone they could easily hate for the offensive failings. Too bad not everyone fell for it.

Awesome. The three remaining Fulmerites want everyone to just "Let it go" and "Move on because he's gone" whenever Phail's name is said in vain, even though he spent an entire decade wrecking the program and then whining like Urban Meyer when he was mercifully canned, yet they don't seem as accommodating for Clawson. Wonder why that is?

Well said.
