Clay opinion on the Hart/Booster brawl

Funny, I thought Clay Travis was a Vandy lover who doesn't know anything. You do realize all he does is stir the pot and try to make people mad.

Remind me why we hired an AD when we had 2 on Campus that would have been great (Blackburn and Holloway)?

My thoughts ... posted on another thread ...

My perception is that things have been not been going too well since Joe Johnson stepped down. The current goat rodeo (in my mind) is only an example of what I perceive as poor management/leadership at the top.

But that is just the opinion of an old alum.

He said in his press conference the next coach needed prior head coaching experience with a winning record. If he hires Smart you can't trust anything Hart ever says again

He could simply say after an extensive search he was the best candidate available. I have no great faith in Hart. He's been here, what, a year and a half with no previous relationships with UT. Until I see otherwise I will believe he has his own self interests ahead of any he might have for UT. He's in his 60's. Worst case is he is forced out with a nice, fat retirement package.

Too bad anybody can put any horse **** in print and get attention. Clay is clueless, just as he was when he said it was done weeks ago. It's impossible he was wrong, so he has to lay blame somewhere.

Ut gets no more of my lunch money until Hart is gone or makes a fantastic turn around that somehow puts the vols in a good light.

Something happened. I can guarantee the Chatt reporter wasn't lying and his sources were checked by the editor before his story was ever published.

I agree and also since Dickey's retirement. Hamilton was a disaster.

The bs boat is full from this week without Clay Travis.

He needs his own boat.

Says the guy still trying to figure out if Dooley is a good fit.

Wrong again, as the norm. Dooley was coaching this year regardless, and a decision was to be made after taking the season into account. That's what I said would happen, and it did. That you can't differentiate that from wanting Dooley to continue as coach is your problem. And you have plenty of them, so add it to your list of bilull**** you bring to the table.

And post where I ever said Dooley was a good fit. Or stfu.

I don't trust Hart.

He was brought here to be a hatchet man. His usefulness has already run its course.

Hell of a time to have a power struggle. If firing Hart is what it takes to bring in Gruden, then so be it. But we should also realize that the AD job is nothing more than a puppet position. I guess the AD has some power until it comes to hiring the Vol football coach--after that, the money men make the call. Interesting.

There's no way unless Hart was lying in his remarks pertaining to the search to begin with. If so, he kills his credibility with the entire State of TN in his 1st year on the job. Not the smartest move for a new AD. This type of move seems contrary to what everyone says about Hart having a high intelligence level. JMO
