UT? (37, I think)

How many 10-win seasons has Vandy had? (none)
UT? (20, I think)

When's the last time Vandy won an SEC championship? (never)
UT? (1998, 13 times total)

When's the last time Vandy went to a BCS bowl game? (never)

When's the last time Vandy won a legitimate national championship? (1911 - 20+ years before the SEC was even formed)

When's the last time Vandy beat UT more than twice in a given ten-year stretch? (1926)

In the worst 5-year stretch (28-34 record) in Tennessee history since pre-WW1, Vandy managed to beat UT how many times? (once)

So yes, Vandy was above/better than Tennessee last season. I don't think anybody on this board would disagree with that. However, being better than somebody one time in last 5 years, twice in the last 30 years, is anything but a trend. Closer to a statistical anomaly.

You know, the 2012 Louisville Cardinals football team (and the 2013 team we'll see in September) does have more in common with Alabama and Florida than it does with Tennessee...

Namely, you know, that all three played in BCS bowls. Hell, just the fact that they played in bowl games is a bond!
