I like how you contradicted yourself in the first 2 sentences.

I didn't. There is no contradiction. You need to learn context. Being productive and being good are two different things.

A healthy Walton is much better than a healthy Nowitzki.

You argument is based on how good you think he could have been, not how good he was.

Maybe Walton should have done less pot and acid while following the dead and he would have had less injuries.

Obviously, you are completely ignorant of Walton's career and the foot injury that kept his PT down.

My argument, son, is that the two years Walton was completely healthy, he was much better than Dirk. He was MVP of the league and the finals. I am certain, based on your ignorant posts, you weren't even born then.

Run along, VBS is starting soon

So, you're saying he's great based on what he should have done had he not gotten injured.

Can you read?

He was a league and Finals MVP when he played at Portland. He was GREAT the few years he was healthy. His best year was better than Dirk's best year. That is what I am saying

Once again, you are arguing that he WOULD have been better if it were not for his injuries. I understand your position, but the argument is who IS better, not who WOULD BE better in the best case scenario.

My point about his drug use is that it makes your body more weak (injuries more likely and harder to recover from).

You have missed my point twice now, or simply ignored it. Also, if you are so old and wise, why are you arguing with someone on the internet who you think should "run along to VBS"?

Also, quoting fail, you are so smart.

LIike I said, his foot injury was unusual and the nature of it had nothing to do with drug use.

Basketbawful

"Walton's basketball life was plagued by legendary foot problems, which were made worse by an insistence on playing through injuries and his use of prescription medication to mask the pain associated with them."

So a few GREAT years is better than an outstanding 11 year run?

Walton was the better player. Dirk has always been too soft and one dimensional.

I'd take Bird, McHale, West, Hondo and Cousy over him in a heartbeat

I agree, I just find truefan's reasoning odd.

"He had 2 GREAT years so he's better than everyone else"

Regarding the argument, all I say is Dirk couldn't guard Walton and vice versa. Regarding your injury/drug use argument, there is no way anyone knows if it was a factor or not, but drug use and alcohol affect your blood, which gives life to tendons, ligaments and bone. To think either couldn't be a factor with an injury or prevent the injury from healing in a timely fashion or at all is off base.

No. I see comprehension is still a major hurdle with our posters. I said Walton was better the few years he was healthy. That's all. Obviously, Nowitzki has had a better career
