Clean, Old Fashioned Hate: #16 Georgia Tech vs #9 Georgia (SECN, 12:00 PM)

Why are coaches so afraid of a run back at the end of the game when the probability of a run back on any kickoff is probably statistically 0%? You are much better off making them run it back to eat up clock advancing the ball from fielding it around the goal line.

So happy! Mizzou knocked UGA out of the SEC Championship, then GT beat UGA. Now we have to take care of Vandy and I'll call it a perfect weekend.

I'll never understand it. If you don't think your kicker can get the touchback, use the sky kick to the 5 or 10 outside the hash to help coverage. The squib down the middle invariably ends up handing the them the ball at the 40.

I just saw the highlights on this game .. didnt get to watch it.

WOW! What a wild game! Butker's 53 yrd FG is probably the most clutch kick of the season.. may even be the most clutch play. Cant wait to watch the replay on this one.. looked very entertaining

Boy, I imagine Uga boards are going in total meltdown mode. No way should a college team give up a fg attempt when kicking off with something like 30 seconds left. Does anyone really think Richts can ever make a run at the Nc?

All I know is all the dawg fans around me are fuming! They want him gone!!

On one hand its easy to see why Georgia fans would be tired of Mark Richt.. they've seen the same ole game for thirteen years and even though they have knocked on the door a few times over the last decade .. they have not managed to get there.

On the other hand, Richt is 135-48 at Georgia with an 8-5 bowl record. Thats not bad. People in Georgia know that their Bulldogs will always be in contention for the East so long as he is there.

So what do you do? Keep a guy that you know is going to keep you at least competitive or roll the dice and hope not to crap out?

keep richt fire bobo.

I wish I could of seen this game, sounds like a really good one. I'm glad Tech won, I wasn't expecting that at all since W's vs. UGA are far and few in between for them.

- Richt is a good coach. Very personable. Good recruiter. Trust me on this one: he's not going anywhere any time soon.
- He can also be counted on to lay at least one egg every season. This year, it was two. Florida and Tech.
- Pruitt might, or might not, be the answer on defense. One thing UGA needs to improve on is recruiting defensive talent.
- As well as defensive discipline. UGA never closed the "A" gap, which is job #1 when you play against the triple option. Also, outside LB's lost containment over and over again.
- all in all, it's just another year for the Dawgs. Good team, but tends to play below their talent level.
- Which, one Saturday a year, I'm grateful for.....

I loved the game it was awesome! Word around Atlanta is GT will be invited to the Orange Bowl(Win or lose the ACCCG) to possibly play somebody like Ohio State.

CBS Sports website predicts GT will play Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl. MSU will never stop GT's sledgehammer running game.

Of all the SEC losses yesterday, this one bothered me the least.

For all of Mark Richt's supposed warts, he's arguably the best coach UGA's ever had.

Herschel Walker made Vince Dooley.
