Mike Edwards has reported to campus and is going to practice with the team. Remember he has 2 week window in which he can practice and still not have made it through the clearinghouse. Gerald Williams anyone?

Marlon Walls is not reporting with the team and will not be practicing. This is a huge blow to our depth. Its not over yet, but it sure doesnt look good.

James Green is not reporting and you you have to believe that he will be headed to prep school or a juco. Im guessing Hargrave or Coffeyville.

I Thought Walls was already enrolled at UT at the beginning of summer. How can he not be eligible for the Fall?

I believe they did something similar last year with Williams. The Clearinghouse may just be being slow as usual and they want to be safe. I would not count Walls out yet. Green we have known about for awhile.

Why did you mention Williams? Rex?

possible the same circumstance as Williams, remember he practiced for about a week or so and we all thought he was fine until they pulled him off the field.

Yeah I do not think this is bad or good. I think this is just the clearinghouse being slow. It is annoying but I do not think the probabilities have changed re: him playing or not. We will see.

I just read an article Rex that said Rogan and Fleming will be there but it was some random site. Isn't Fleming gone? And so is Rogan ok now?

CJ Fleming is gone for good IIRC. Rogan may be back but he's still got some issues.

I just get the feeling we're gonna get butt****ed on all 3 of these guys though

They will probably clear Walls on Monday after the Alabama Game.

From all reports yes. I mean this afternoon we should hear who was at practice for sure.

hypothetically, assume I have no idea about what you are talking about when you say, "clearinghouse"....how would you explain this to a person who doesn't know what you're talking about?

If that doesn't work....I've got a "friend" that doesn't know about the "clearinghouse", could you tell me how to explain it to "him"?

No need I mean we know nothing could be SEC holding up. I will go doom and gloom on it when there is something that says coaches are worried about him. So far it is just saying they are waiting and have not heard.

Joking, right?

If he's really at 280 at the moment, he's not gigantic by any means for the defensive tackle position. It's not like he added bad weight and the coaches "had" to turn him into a DT.

I really hope he clears, he could be extremely valuable to the line.

naw, i know, i was just trying to lighten the mood on it. but he did gain quite a bit huh? from like 220-280 or something crrazy?

Is there a presser today? if so what time? If no presser the Hubbs or someone needs to get the info on all this stuff.

Last I heard Walls was at 293.

It sucks he won't get to practice and probably won't make it, but atleast it's practice time!
