Clemson is not getting a bye.

I don’t know why so many of you don’t realize this. The four byes will be Oregon, Georgia, Boise State, and Arizona State. All four won their conference championship games and were already ranked ahead of Clemson.

Clemson will be no higher than the #11 seed and will play on the road in the first round.
I sure hope they don’t put Clemson ahead of ASU.
Wouldn’t put it past them

Is how I bet it ends up. I personally think we should be ahead of Penn State and Texas based on the committee saying we were behind OSU because they had more wins over teams in the playoff than we did. But they change from week to week to fit the own agenda.

Not going to let an idle Ohio State jump runner up Penn state - imo.

How does Clemson jump Arizona State ? Arizona State looked much better in their game today than Clemson did, and Arizona State is currently ranked higher.

Who’s to say they don’t rank Clemson ahead with the new “data points”?

This is absurd. I’ll bet anyone on this board $1,000 Clemson does not jump Arizona State.
I didn’t say it wasn’t absurd. I said I wouldn’t put it past the committee to move them past ASU.
Clemson being in this position to begin with is absurd.
But what a great story for “Lil Ol’ Clemson” to make another run, blah blah blah…

Clemson was ranked one spot behind Arizona state but they beat the #8 team in the playoff ranking. They absolutely could be moved up enough to get a bye.

Well the commitee may still look at Ohio State beating them head to head. Everyone knows good and well Penn State got in this game tonight by playing one game of consequence and that was to Ohio State and they lost. So I see this Big 10 championship could be viewed as we won't punish them big but enough because Ohio State played them better on the road than Penn State did at a neutral site.

They were two spots behind ASU and ASU beat the #16 team like a rented mule. Clemson ain’t jumping over them. Rationalize it all you want but it’s not happening.

Because Clemson beat the 8 team and was ranked 17 and ASU beat the 16 and was ranked 15. Better win.
