Clemson is not getting a bye.

If Boise State or Arizona State had played Georgia and South Carolina OOC like Clemson did, they'd have 2 extra L's also. Clemson is not any worse than half the teams getting in, they just played a tougher OOC schedule. I think all the SEC teams who get in are going to advance until they run into another SEC team, and then we'll see a ballgame.

When SMU gets in and Bama is on the outside looking in, there will still be plenty of delusion on this board that the committee is one big conspiracy and are biased toward Alabama.

Clemson won’t jump an ASU team with a better record that absolutely dismantled their conference championship game opponent yesterday. My seeding:

1. Oregon
2. UGA
3. ASU
4. Boise
5. Penn State
6. ND
7. Texas
8. OSU
9. UT
10. Indiana
11. Clemson
12. SMU

This looks spot on right here. Mine would be exactly this.

If that happens the Gump's will make up another mythical Natty and reward themselves like back in the days when there could be up to 7 mythical NCs in 1 year. The AP, UPI, Coaches, Litkenhous and on and on 🤣 🤣

Hmm…why do you think Texas falls below Penn St. despite playing a much closer game and being ranked ahead of them before the games?

While this is the logical seeding, I can’t help but think ESPN isn’t planting some bugs to improve the “game” matchups. PSU v SMU to Boise and ND v Clemson to ASU are a very weak compared to OSU v UT to Oregon and TX v IU to UGA ( which might be a third meeting)
A case can be made for OSU to jump PSU, and SMU and IU to be put in any non hosting slot to improve the game matchups

You left out the part about Miami losing at the same time.
It was after Miami's first loss. Bama had 2 at that time when they beat a Mercer while Miami lost to a winning team. What was the "data point" for the committee to reward a two loss Bama team over a 1 loss Miami team? Look at the last 3 games for each team. Miami has two losses to Bama's 3 losses. Bama gets destroyed by Oklahoma second to last game then beat a team with a losing record their last game. Miami lost to a GT team and Syracuse team with winning records and a GT team that beat Clemson and too UGA to 8 overtimes. Bama's last 3 are Mercer OK and Auburn. No logical reason Bama should be in over Miami.

Ohio State beat Penn State on their home field , and has two wins over playoff teams where Penn State has none. There's no reasonable way Ohio State should be behind Penn State.
Time will tell. Some have Penn State @ # 5.

That same team was already ranked two spots ahead of them yesterday, too. As I've said many times, I'll make a wager with anyone who thinks Clemson will jump ASU in the rankings.

The only thing I can't see happening here is Texas dropping to the 7-seed for losing in OT and Penn State staying at the 5-seed for getting consistently beaten for 60 minutes, when Texas was ranked ahead of them in the rankings (2 vs 3) to begin with. I think ND/Texas will be seeded 5/6 (in some order), Ohio State #7, and Penn State #8.

I don’t think Penn State will drop below OSU. If they do, the committee was lying through their teeth when they said they wouldn’t punish conference championship losers.

Between Texas, Penn State, and ND, it’s pretty much a wash, imo. Put them in a hat and shake it up.

1) Oregon
2) Georgia
3) Boise
4) ASU
5) Notre Dame
6)Texas
7) Ohio State
8) Penn State
9) Tennessee
10) Indiana
11) Alabama
12) Clemson

Is how I bet it ends up. I personally think we should be ahead of Penn State and Texas based on the committee saying we were behind OSU because they had more wins over teams in the playoff than we did. But they change from week to week to fit the own agenda.
Especially Texas they have beaten no one.
