Clemson storms the field!

Well I say we petition our penalty! Afterall we can say it's tradition that we rush the field and tear down the goalposts after every time we beat Alabama. We've done it every time for the last 16 years! How dare the SEC office try and punish us for our tradition.

You likely can’t bring cowbells into the stands in Clemson, an ACC program, but the SEC allows the fans in Starkville an exception for the instrument.

The SEC punishes everyone for it. Alabama, Kentucky, Florida, LSU, A&M…heck they’d fine Vanderbilt for doing it for winning a first game in 13 years against some FCS school. Same elevating penalty amounts too.

So ESPN going to wax poetic on them not "acting like they've been there before."? ;)

So Clemson beats UTMartin, and the fans will rush the field?
Yes. My first game at Clemson was against The Citadel and I went out onto the field. The “storming” moniker is a little much. Most take their time and just kind of mosey out there to talk to players, take pictures, etc.

Sounds fun. On the field celebrating wins with the players. Maybe rushing the field is a bit much. They should let the kids take a lap or two. The kid’a parents should get to mill around too.

Ole Miss let my kids run the bases after the Vols swept them.

2003 is ~140 home games ago. It’s definitely a tradition, and something that is fairly well-known throughout college football given that the program in question has been a juggernaut over the last decade.
Well, they were favored by 2 TDS, so maybe some of that was out of relief 😂

I've been saying "12 teams is too many" for a playoff, but a mid SEC team at 12 could easily beat a Clemson team.
